아스키 아트(ASCII Art)란 아스키 코드 0x20~0x7e에 포함되는 문자, 기호를 사용한 그림을 말한다. 텍스트 아트, 문자그림으로도 불리며, 영문 이름 첫자를 줄인 AA로 지칭되기도 한다.아스키 아트는 주로 이모티콘으로 쓰이지만, 여러 줄에 걸쳐 기호를 배열해 풍경사진·사실화 등을 모방할 수도 있다. 종래 인쇄된 텔레타이프에서 이용되었다. 다른 문자를 사용하는 곳에서는 아스키 코드 이외의 ISO-8859-1, EUC-KR 등의 문자 코드에 포함된 문자들을 배열하여 그림처럼 만든 것도 아스키 아트라고 부른다. 과거에는 CUI 상에 그림이나 표를 표시하기 위해 자주 이용되었다. 현재에도 유닉스의 셸 등 CUI 환경에서 이용되고 있다.
